Re: Tesla Model 3

Anyone know how to go about getting the Gov grant for a charge point? https://energysavingtrust.org.uk/scotland/grants-loans/domestic-charge-point-funding I've had two (different addresses, different cars) on this scheme. The current one for the Model 3 is a Rolec branded 32A one installed by Jorro .

Re: S3 Elise Light Upgrades

Night Breakers are available in HB3, which is the same bulb as the HB3A but with the connector turned 90deg.
I think BigD has tried this and got them to squeeze in ok.

Re: Registration re-assignment after Cat C / Cat D?

If or when the day comes that I have a car worthy of fitting it onto, am I at risk of "tagging" that new car with a Cat label? The write-off doesn't follow the plate in my experience. I transferred my plate onto a retention certificate exactly as you have done after a write off and subsequently app...

Board upgrade 2200-2330hrs 09/11/2017

Hello all, I'm upgrading the board from about 10pm tonight. It will take 90 minutes or so and SE2 will be off while that happens. It'll look slightly different to how it does now but the change isn't as big as the last upgrade which was almost a decade ago now. All posts, avatars and PMs will be mig...

Re: Cloud telephony (NLC)

Plenty of people do solutions to replace either all of what you currently have our just bits of it. SIP trunks are the VoIP replacement for the fixed ISDN30 lines you probably already have. There are ways to interface these with existing traditional phone systems (if you want to keep it and/or your ...

Re: Smart motorway ... gantries .. containing speed cameras

They maybe mean the M9 Spur, which has cameras in two of the gantries coming from the bridge (still southbound) towards Newbridge. They're signed with lines on the road.

Welcome back Harvey, I remember your car well. One of the first laps I ever did round KH was a pax in your old S1.

CMC / Stark Honda Conversion

Hi Everyone, I thought I'd post up some details on the Honda conversion CMC recently carried out for me. I only popped in for a quick chat to meet Craig but after he showed me Robin's just about completed conversion in the workshop and quite a few further visits, emails, phone calls, coffees and bis...

Re: Honda conversion.

I don't really want to take time off work for a trip down to TDI North for mapping if I can avoid it - I'm a scumbag contractor so days off to do simple jobs get expensive taking into account lost earnings. See if they do weekend days. In the meantime, fit a 2bular and you'll have exactly the same ...

Re: Honda conversion.

Mine did a lot of what you're describing on the standard ECU (and also on the Hondata on the stock supplied map before it was mapped by TDI North). It didn't hunt but was horrible to drive for the first mile or so. Spitting and kangaroo petrol. This all went away with mapping. It idles much higher w...
