Re: Anyone got experience of lengthy car repairs?
Have you tried reporting it as stolen? :-) If there is a direct issue with the repair (e.g. the bumper that they fitted is the wrong one or cracked or whatever) then you can reject the repair. I believe that any other damage done to the car is a new claim, not a rejection of the original repair (gre...

Yeah, it's a slow burner - 500W I think - ain't gonna hit 90° unless it's in a vacuum . It struggles to maintain 18° if the rest of the house isn't heated!

Think I might end up with Octopus. Not by choice like. They just bought Shell Energy I believe. [emoji848] That would be amusing - I just ditched Shell for Octopus and am disputing my final bill with Shell - I wonder if that will now ever be resolved ;-) I plan to move to whatever their dynamic tar...

Re: Battery Booster for Lithium lightweight sport battery ?
Are you worried about jump starting it or trickle charging it while away from home? There is no one right answer. But your car alternator and ECU have no idea you have a lithium ion battery so in some sense the battery must be similar enough to lead acid. The right answer depends on at least three t...

Re: S1 auction
If you want a road car the S1 is lovely and probably just about manageable to keep it on the road. Make sure you have a second car. For a track car I wouldn't look older than a VVC S2, ideally the later ones, but they are all pretty much the same. Also the S2 is less loved and probably cheaper than ...

Re: S2 slipping clutch
Hi Mike, I would not put the lightweight flywheel on it unless primarily a track car. The standard K's are quite gentle cars in traffic; you're going to find you have to give it some revs every time you pull away if you put the lighter flywheel on it. Remember, when the clutch is up all the rotating...

Re: AUTUMN DN – NORDSCHLEIFE - Sept 19 &20
It's not cheap, but if you still have a hankering to do the ring I would thoroughly recommend these days - they are well organised and the driving standards are generally high - like a Lotus On Track day people are generally using common sense, lifting off to let you pass, etc. Sure there's the usua...
