Re: TrackScotland Trackday - 6th Feb - pics & vids

Thanks for the organisation. I was indeed the only Lotus but good to be back on track.

Driving standards were very high - although Knockhill said they would use the blue flags, I didn't see them waved as no need.

Re: Trackscotland Trackday - Sat 6th Feb - £75

I've booked on for this - really no other Scottish Elises??

Where are you all? - hibernating?

And only Parko and I from here were at the GUMSC Karting yesterday - he put up a better show than me - not one of my best nights

Re: The Book of Tut

First met Tut after, I think, an early Tut Towers KH tracknight. I was first on the scene when he ran out of petrol on the road away from KH. Picked him up and we toured Dunfermline (which neither of us knew) looking for a garage who would sell petrol and a petrol can. That achieved we returned to h...

Re: Elan +2S Restoration Project.

Great stuff! Had an Elan Sprint 2-seater from new in '71 and there was never anything like it, until the Elise revived the proper Lotus concept.

Can Agra upgrade the engine to the big valve Sprint spec? - was amazingly quick back then.

Re: Anyone else fancy punching BA in the face?

Brian, there is indeed space for premium carriers but one line mentioned on the news today is that likes of Etihad and Emirates, even Virgin, are in a position to offer cracking service to those prepared to pay a bit extra, but the bit extra is still a lot less than for BA premium services and with...

Re: Anyone else fancy punching BA in the face?

(they are no longer a premium carrier who can afford premium staff) Tragic - I liked BA because they were a premium carrier and I was prepared to pay for it. Is there no room now for a premium carrier? Must we all be dragged down to the lowest level? It seems to be my lot now continually to regret ...

Re: Anyone else fancy punching BA in the face?

That's a pain in the ar*e. Had hoped this would all be over by January - now seems strike will be pushed back to February when we want to fly to somewhere warm in the Caribbean.

Re: Hot Marques Sunday 29th Nov

@jasonliddell of course! 2 laps of waiting behind someone to move over is NOT acceptable in my book. there was not any blue flags being shown, not that the forementioned porsche drivers would have noticed them anyway - they were probably too busy looking for some driving talent! Mads Mads, I'm with...

Re: Hot Marques Sunday 29th Nov

There were a couple of times I was in cars with people and straight after a corner they started to pull to the right to let someone past and almost side-swiped a car overtaking up the right. It was not like other people had said where they were travelling slow and holding people up, the cars behind...

Re: Private Track Day Sun 25th October KH 3pm - 5pm

Yes - the public roads seemed unusually slippy on the way up to KH - couple of surprising moments en route So can sympathise with Deany. But nothing compared to the track when we got there - the previous session must have dropped oil and dragged it all round the circuit - liKe a skid pan all the way...

Re: ANYONE BEEN TO OULTON PARK?

Great circuit and all the above is spot on.

If it is wet, treat Druids with respect including the bump on exiting - and also watch for standing water under the bridge between Druids and Lodge - can accumulate there in the lunch break, as I found out by aquaplaning right over it
