Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

Thanks for the advice, especially the fact that they all drive differently. Intention would be to go for one with a galvanised chassis as I don't want to spend an additional £3k+ getting a new chassis/labour on top. Hence the intention for going for one that has been recently recommissioned. However...

Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

Have you tried an S3 Landie George? I have had 2 and they are far inferior to a Defender to use as a road vehicle. Depending on engine, wheels and gearing you will struggle to do more than 60mph and that drops to 40 going uphill. I keep thinking I would like another but then drive one and change my...

Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

13 miles  Was that to the last MOT garage and back. Must try harder. Yep, drive to CMC, get MOT done and back into the garage  Did contemplate putting the Spyder up for sale earlier in the year as it was not getting used and then swapping for an Aston Martin Vantage 430. Thoughts being...

Re: Covid-19 Lockdown

As I work from home 100% of the time, my day to day has not changed that much to be honest. As we live in the countryside we have changed our dog walking habit slightly and going out at night when it is dark to make sure we do not bump into anyone on the dog walk as its mostly single track. However ...

Re: New(ish) car .. not really Lotus Content and a long wait..

Wow looking fantastic and the interior does look totally class.

You have also future proofed the car as well by fitting a breathing vent above the windscreen so that you can take the car out in the impending floods that we will all be getting :)

Land Rover Defender 2015 Station Wagon XS

Folk, Thinking of putting my Land Rover Defender up for sale (which I have owned since new) as thinking of getting myself a Land Rover Series 3 with a nut/bolt restoration. Chance to own a car which is practically depreciation proof and will return your money. Car is Corris Grey with Santori Black R...

Re: Leven car company Administration

Threads like this make me glad that I do not have a Lotus now, which is a terrible thing to say and never thought I would ever write that !! There was such a good service ethic in the past but this completely diminishes customer trust. I would have expected with a wide recall that Lotus would at lea...

Re: Anyone out there?

What I found interesting was the Henry's garage piece with the Lotus Esprit. When he was at the petrol station filling up the double tanks of the esprit, he calculated that the mileage/consumption over ita lifetime was the equivalent to a lorry pounding the highways for less than a month (may have b...

Blimey - BMW grills are probably so big now you could fit an E30 318is alloy and still have space spare.

Re: Leven car company Administration

i think murrays were number 2 in the uk behind B&C Thought that as well but err'd on the side of caution. Anyway, Mr Robertson had created so many "unique" coloured Loti in his time at Murray's, did not want to give him any more bragging rights [emoji16] George Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Re: Leven car company Administration

9 Cars last year what I heard Its sad to hear that it's that low, Graeme probably did that and more a month in the days of the S1/S2. However, goes to show that the price point at the moment does not generate sales and hopefully when they launch the new Elise variant they will get that right. Wonde...

Re: New car suggestions

Well under your budget but spotted this on Autotrader

Although I suspect any bills could easily use up the remainder of your budget.
