The type 49s really suit the red and gold, cant beat the S1 Exige wheels and they will set it off once it’s converted to an Elige.
Look forward to the Elige set up.

ps hope the temp garage is tied down today

Re: S1 Audi Elise

Great progress so far, I'm a big fan of these in Calypso Red. Gold wheels would really set that off once the mechanics are worked through.

The one I saw was an SF21xxx plate - I can’t imagine there are two so assume it’s now moved to that private number.
This one passed me the other day, looks like there is two indeed.

Re: What car to get ? #2

Anyone used carwow yet ? I tried a few quotes but no idea how competitive it really is. Apparently the car dealer industry is worried about it. I've price checked with them on various manufacturers but mainly BMW. The offers can always be bettered but by very little ie 1 or 2%. Good starting point ...

Re: What car to get ? #2

the X5M / X6M - I'm not getting into the X5/6 isn't a true M car as it's an SUV debate :) Well the M is at the wrong end. I can just imagine the BMW board meeting... We need to make an SUV. Let's call it the X5. X, like cross, as in cross country, 5 because it's our middle exec size. Perfect logica...

Re: What car to get ? #2

So I’m a bit brainwashed on Audi handling being poor and the photocopy styling, but an RS4 Avant or TTRS ? Are any of the M cars available in X drive form ? There are 3 M cars available now with x drive. The New M5 (just released meaning still expensive) and the X5M / X6M - I'm not getting into the...

Re: S1 Elise Values

This is proving more difficult than I first thought.

So far I've trawled pistonheads, SELOC, Autotrader, ebay, gumtree, car and classic, lotus approved - anywhere else ?

Re: S1 Elise Values

There seems to be a few Cat D and even C's around.

A chrome orange Cat C in Edinburgh, anyone know it ?

Cat C must have tub damage ? I would assume Cat D is mainly fibre glass bodywork.

S1 Elise Values

Looking for peoples thoughts on this / experience in the past year or so. I've been looking at S1 prices recently and they seem to be hovering 8/9/10k for a (98/99 year depending on mileage) to a 12/13k for low miler or 2000 cars. I'm considering tipping in 8/9k over the next 6 months, do we think t...
