Re: Exige spec.......
I have the Lotus motorsport ECU and IMO it's an essential purchase for the Exige, especially on the road. If driving one for the first time then I'm in no doubt that the big 2nd cam kick is more impressive (exaggerated by the ridiculous dip beforehand) but after living with it for a while, it become...

Re: Supercharger for 1k
If you manage to buy it, can you drop me a pm? My throttle body is goosed so may be interested in buying your old one if you replace it and wanted to sell.Mikie711 wrote:Got a reply but hasn't sent me his details for payment.

Also emailed about this, no reply. Did anyone on here buy it or know if it's sold?

Re: revs sticking
Next time it does it, stop the car, open the boot and push the throttle quadrant to fully close it. If this reduces your idle to normal levels then you've probably got dirt in the throttle body. Remove the throttle body to clean it, but also remove the IACV from the bottom or all the dirt will simpl...

Exterminate! NLC
In time honoured fashion, if you have a problem, no matter what it is, then consult SE :D Ok, just had my house surveyed and been told i have some mild (nothing to worry about) woodworm in the loft. Can I just treat this myself? Was going to buy this and spray it: http://www.pestcontroldirect.co.uk/...

Re: Games Industry
Is there anyone on here involved in the games industry? I'm looking for a topic for my GMS dissartation and wouldn't mind a PM to discuss a few things. Yep, for 12 years and suffering only slight insanity :) I'm a games designer though, so better at talking sh*t then being mega-technical but if I c...

Re: Door Pannels
Plans Motorsport had a 240r interior for sale on ebay a few months back, they stated in the ad that the door panels, although off a car with electric windows, would also fit winders.

Re: spitting feathers !!!!!!!
I think I have a spare standard one, will have to check.
If so, I can bring it into work on Monday as I work in Dundee. It's a slightly faded S2 one but better than a hole being there until you get a new one.
I know the feeling...still have scratches on my front clam from mine being stolen

Re: Stolen Motocross bike
That's really sh*t! There was a real spate of motocross thefts a few years back but not heard of anything recently, until this...off to check if my KTM's still in the garage.
I'm not involved in the motocross scene these days but have a few friends who still are, I'll pass the details on.

This link (on a Celica but the same, I think - someone please correct me if I'm wrong) shows how to remove and clean the throttle body properly:

Re: sticky acclerator cable
Get rid of the Pipercross, they really are sh*t! It will be letting in dirt and stopping the throttle quadrant from fully returning. To check, next time it does it, don't blip the throttle and press on the clutch and put the car into neutral as it rolls to a stop. Get out, open up the boot and use y...
