Howdy folks,
Not been on here for a while: hope you are all well! Hoping to use the coming weeks to finally get round to editing some of the footage I have of past trips and trackdays. Some of it has only taken 10 years or so to get around too...
Regards,
Bert

Re: I need a "Special Talent"
Afraid I don't log on as often as I used to, but in this topsy-turvy world it's nice to have something to rely on. Is it true Royal Mail have a commemorative stamp in the offing?

Lost our wee collie, Ernie, this morning. Posted the start of him here 2 years ago as a pup: grew into the best wee dog we've had. Diagnosed with epilepsy out of the blue a few weeks back: something collies are prone to. Was a major 6hr fit that killed him. A few of you met him on various camping tr...

Re: S1 seat frame fatigue failure
Worth a check for everyone, maybe. My '04 S2 bracket went the same way when the car was less than 3 years old. Found it when I investigated a slight creaking in the seat back. Took it up with Lotus and fair play to them, got a free fix at MMC.fd wrote: Worth a wee check for the high mileage folks . .

Some great roads down there. Cut my teeth (and underpants) on a few. Under-rated part of the world, and not just for driving!

Aye, a very very good result. Three-odd hours to bring that under control with no fatalities or major structural damage is impressive. Real testament to the fire engineering. Be interesting to read the investigation findings.

Bah Humbug. Shortcuts. Where's the achievement value in that? Some fecker is driving about in my old car with a couple of my knuckles still in the bodywork: that gives me a particularly British warm glow at night.

Re: Heart by-pass surgery.
My old man had a triple nearly 10 years ago after a heart attack. After the initial few months recovery he took full advantage of a new lease of life. Still regularly swimming, cycling, munro-bagging, sailing dinghies (and winning trophies!) at 79. So a crazy old barsteward like yourself. Guess atti...

Re: Chooks end.....
We got some chickens this year, and I thought it'd end in tears as we are on the edge of the woods and have had plenty of foxes about, to the extent of having a family of 4 living at the bottom of the garden, who lounged about as if they owned the place. Got a great wee Collie last year and haven't ...

I'll second that emotion...waaaay over what you should pay for a reasonable job. Most of the recent ones I've done have come in at between £1200-£1800/m.sq, depending on spec...

Ooft. At least no damage done to anyone. Thought you'd bought another Evora when I saw the title.
Sounds like the story of the demise of my car. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...)
