Bodyshops?

Hi Folks, Following my shunt from behind last week, I thought I'd nip out to Kinghorn at Blackburn for a quote, under the impression that they were still the only place in Aberdeen that would do these sort of cars. Was told they no longer touch VXs or Elises, as they're a "pain." The chap said that ...

Tried some turtle wax original, tried to go quite gentle so as not to disturb the coating. Seemed to remove marks ok, but was dead hard to get an even looking finish :x

I've heard soapy water works well for cleaning them prior to waxing :?:

Interior Cleaning

Hi Guys.

What do you lot use to clean the alu areas of the interior?

I'm a bit apprehensive about using any products on it, but thought wax might be a good idea for removing marks and just adding a bit of protection?

Any ideas appreciated :D

Great alternative if you can bring yourself to drive a Vauxhall. Which exactly what is all about....I know it's really a Elise but... Maybe we need to swap cars for short blast to try and convince me :? But is it not a car first, badge second? VX220 Been in Dave Hay's (Rag_It from TRS) VX220...

Hopefully wont upset anyone here, but Kenny have you had a good look at the VX? 2.2 has 150bhp as standard, a bulletproof engine and can be run for Astra money. Turbos can be had for as little as £18k now, 200bhp as standard and easily tuneable if you feel the need. Great alternative if you can brin...

I'm wimping out and putting standard RE040s onto the VX. Higher spec tyres would be wasted on me :D

Got price of £128 fully fitted for the OEM spec rubber from Zip Tyres in Peterheid, anyone know anywhere cheaper?!

I am no someone who cares for their vehicle so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed, but I am planning giving the VX a good clean up very soon as I feel a bit guilty seeing it so dirty  There are some light scratches that I was thinking about attacking with a cutting p...

Nice forum chaps :) I'm an Aberdeen VX-er ( ) who joined the Yahoo group to keep up with any Scottish meets (and trackdays once I have grown sufficient testicular fortitude) and servicing info etc. I personally prefer the forum style to the newsgroup style, it's a bit difficult to track thread...
