Re: CL5+ Pads required
Don't put more CL pads in!
Just get some Pagids. If you want to chance the rears and leave them in then it'll be fine with different pads front and rear.
Personally, I'd be taking them all out and fitting Pagid RS4-2 all round. Is it really worth the risk?

Re: Rare S1
No it's a genuine Motorsport Elise. Far more exclusive than the S1 Exige and indeed the car that inspired the creation of the Exige in the first place. Worth every penny of the £95k in the current climate of crazy classic cars prices, IMHO.Ferg wrote:is it a genuine Exige at least?

I've been putting off responding to this as I don't want to get into an argument but there's certain things I just can't let go. Firstly, let me say that this was a complicated situation and one I got into trying to help John out as I did consider him a friend. Anyway, it was a mistake to the this o...

Usually between 4 and 4.5 Litres for a refill. I'd choose an oil that comes in 5L cans so you've got a bit left for top-ups.

Re: Honda'd S1's
The Kermit green demo car was bought by a customer of mine Tut and then had quite a lot of work done by me to put it right. It is now in France and has been supercharged I believe. Stark Automotive is now owned and run by completely different people to those that started the company. Looking at buyi...

Re: Pagid RS 42 v Carbone Lorraine Rc5+
No bandwagon jumping from me Chris but I have personally seen 9 total failures of Carbonne Lorraine pads. The most recent was just last week on almost brand new pads. I won't touch them personally. I run a combination of RS4-2s and RS14s and never had any problems, nor have I ever seen any failures ...

Not sure that you can be sympathetic with the car if you want to win, you have to rev it and snatch gear change especially in an S1. tut Bang on Tut. This is not a Sunday drive. Very harsh to say it let to the failure. These engines are pushed to the limits if you want to be competitive as you can'...

evora gt4 was approx 115-120k+vat iirc Scotty. You could probably spec it higher than that, with spare and such like, one set of wheels won't cut it. big, heavy and dull though mate. I was making a point. These types of car aren't cheap and I bet that box and ther rest of the gubbins is £25k + You'...

Its not difficult to get claims authorised if you know how to deal with them. From my experience in the past MMC don't seem to be particularly good at saying the right things to get claims authorised. I have never had a claim knocked back in the past 8 years.

Re: S1 rear toe-link balljoint hub spacers.
If you have steel uprights you will have the same setup as early S2s. There should be one spacer above and one below the upright.
Bump steer must be horrendous on that.
