Re: S1 Audi Elise

No the engine is back in and new clutch/flywheel and slave cylinder. Did some upgrades while the engine was out too like new bulkhead heat shielding and catch can setup. https://i.ibb.co/x8rppXHq/IMG-7775.jpg https://i.ibb.co/LhSbtzG4/IMG-7776.jpg https://i.ibb.co/XfpHsp6q/IMG-9220.jpg https://i.ibb...

Re: S1 Audi Elise

Hoping I won’t need one with that much torque 😂
I’ve got a big and small dewalt that should see anything off.
All the bits ordered and been offered an engine crane now too so just need to find the time

Re: S1 Audi Elise

So an update, I have managed a whopping 291 miles between MOTs

And to top it off the clutch clave cylinder failed on its way to this years MOT. The good part is it’s inside the gearbox which means I’ll need to remove the engine to fix it.

Does anyone have an engine crane I can borrow?

Re: S1 Audi Elise

Nothing to update really I’m afraid. It’s been in hibernation so I’ve been working on finishing the garage.

Looking to get the silver honda Elise running now before Spring

Re: Interior size difference between Elise and Exige

I did notice the exige was never cramped for me 6ft 3 15stone but my s1 Elise with harness bar was almost undriveable until I spaced out the OMP wheel.

Re: Interior size difference between Elise and Exige

Strange because they are identical, maybe just the feeling of having a bigger car around you?

Re: Fog / hazard light switches

Top work 👏🏼
Worth mentioning one type is easy to take an apart (I think the TWR ones) and the others disassemble themselves into 20 pieces and are almost impossible to put back together.

Contact cleaner and compressed air works wonders without taking them apart
