Re: Recommend an Italian restaurant, central Glasgow?
Sarti as mentioned above are good - they have three branches within 5 mins of each other (not on Bothwell St though) - the Bath St one is probably more suitable for your low/mid price range vibe.
Zizzi in Royal Exchange Sq is pretty good for a chain.

Mclaren dealership in Scotland
Not in Aberdeen, nor Edinburgh, as I'd anticipated when I saw the headline...

Re: Oil(ish) leak
Did the car this enginer came from (MG TF) have an oil cooler, and was it in same relative position as on the Elise? Other than that, I doubt anyone would supply these pipes as standard, but I'm sure you could get them made up if you knew the right company to speak to (I don't have anyone I could re...

Re: Oil(ish) leak
Given it's a 111s I'd guess it's the pipes to the oil cooler radiator. Two parallel pipes held by a clamping plate on the bottom right (from the rear) side of the engine - get the diffuser off and you should see where they are held in place (the oil cooler rad is further to the left {from the rear})...

Re: Audio - no sound from speakers
Finally got round to doing this - seat out, removed speaker and one of the wires had detached. Everything back together, new unit from Neil inserted, and I have sounds again.
Thanks all,
Thanks all,

Re: Attaching rear-view mirror
As above, I don't believe it's a legal requirement (both wing mirros will suffice.) However, I've missed not having it - I like being able to see who's coming up either side of me. Got the Halfords kit and just reattached it tonight, so hopefully that sticks.

Re: Cruise control
Must just be me then!
I have tried it a few times, particularly when doing trips of a couple of hours M74/M6 but don't seem to have gelled with it. I've used it in average speed camera zones which worked OK as everyone was doing the same speed, but other than that it just seems a pain.

Re: Attaching rear-view mirror
Thanks guys - I'll get some of the special mirror glue rather than using the pound shop super glue I have lying around.

Cruise control
Do you find it useful? I have it in one of my cars and regularly find hire cars have it these days, but don't really see the point of it. What do you do with your right foot? I worry if I relax my foot away from the pedals it will take longer to brake in an emergency, and if I hover it over the brea...
