I was wondering if it'll be a problem that my car doesn't have a front towing strut - it was broken when the RAC towed it follwing an HGF incident, and I haven't been brave enough to attempt to remove the front clamshell...

I have some old ones if you want? I replaced mine with the Nitron Street series last year. Three of the four were OK when removed - have done around 45k miles. Assuming that your newer car uses the same spec as my 2001 Rover S2?
