Buying a CAT D?
I'm putting this one out in the hope that someone might be able to advise? I've been looking to buy a VX220 Turbo, the problem is it's a CAT D. Are cars with this history against them a nightmare to insure? Ta

Re: Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Thanks for the info.
Tbh the current pricing on s1 eludes and caterhams seem to be all over the place, lots of tat and dreamers out there. I guess the whole used market is always like this, what's that saying about there always being somewhere......

Re: Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Thanks guys Provisionally sold now. Now come on DVLA and get your finger out and gimme my old registration back! Back on topic, what about a caterham? I have thought about a caterham, the chassis corrosion tales worry me slightly but really my biggest issue is getting the right car. I was looking i...

Re: Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Not knowing anything about your driving skills I'll make the following comments for thought. You will find that on track the power of the car will not be as huge a factor as you may think. In my opinion it is about the fun that can be had. There is much to learn with these little plastic cars and y...

Re: Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Sorry but your post above suggests you are looking for a s1 Elise and are interested in feedback from 111s owners hence my reply. Higher mileage, used and well looked after doesn't mean a bad thing. You would need to look on an item to item basis, but a car with 30k on the clock isn't necessary bet...

Re: Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Thanks guys I'll have a look into your pointers. I didn't really think about a 111S, I remember looking at one 10 years ago but ended up opting for an early S2 sports tourer which I always regreted, just not enough power mixed with bits falling off on a regular basis :? . I'm trying to keep under th...

Thinking of making a Lotus return, advise please.
Having been away from the Lotus brand for a few years now dabbling with caterhams and porsches I'm considering making a comeback. I'm thinking of getting an S1 elise with a view to doing a bit of track work and possible hillclimbs while still retaining road legality. I'm looking for some advice in w...

Re: Exige s buying tips
Thanks for the reply. I'm quite interested in the red exige currently for sale at MMC. It looks a nice car but has higher than average mileage for the year and looks like it's been tracked hard. Anyone know anything about it. I would love to buy a car from the forum but I'm looking to trade out my P...

OMS Single Seater Hillclimb/Sprint
I’m selling my OMS PR due to lack of time through work commitments. The car was purchased from Steve Owen in 2006 as a box of bits and has been built over the last two years using mostly brand new parts. The car has done one hillclimb event at Forrestburn since completion and was 4th overall first t...

Re: Porsche 911?
Be Warned. I looked at this car in the flesh for less than 60 seconds. It is F****D!!!
Engine oil pouring out and rotten all over. Not to be advised unless you have got lots of money to waste.
