Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

Bought a car on Sunday, collect this afternoon.

Specialist Cars Skoda in Dundee.

A few things done remotely such as payment but other than the wiping down of pens/iPads during the deposit phase it's been fine!

There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services. For example, you will continue to be a...

Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

I sold my Caterham recently via Pistonheads. The buyer called me from a pipe laying ship in the North Sea, and paid a deposit after I'd given him a video walk around of the car. 3 weeks later he flew from Norway to Amsterdam, then to Edinburgh. Met him at the airport where he transferred the rest o...

Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

Ross, have you any neighbours who fancy a 125d? 😂 I'll be sure to ask around :damnfunny Interesting topic regarding COVID protection during viewings etc. What would you guys expect to see? Just masks when on the test drive or something more? Could be awkward when people aren’t allowed in your house...

Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

Also realised quickly viewing at that price point I wanted to be coronavirus safe, the private sellers and trade at that level weren’t. Bit of an eye opener TBH This point is interesting Ian - and basically confirms Mrs B's concerns. You see plenty dealers down south with all the COVID policies but...

Re: Anyone bought or sold a car privately recently?

Sold/selling 3 cars over the lockdown period. 1. Cerbera still not sold and similar experience to you George, derisory offers (maybe I should put that I'm not desperate to sell in the ad) and timewasters asking loads of questions and wanting masses of hi-res pics, only to disappear when it comes to ...

Went there in 98 (with a very pregnant wife  :blackeye ), 00, and 02 for TVR factory tours, and they were always entertaining weekends! :cheers

Re: Tesla Model 3

Good point. The charging requirements massively depend on how you use the car. I’ve got an i3S which was only intended to be used locally and charged at home overnight. The thinking was that on the odd occasion I needed to go further I’d use another car or hire. Pauline is using it to drive to work...
