Re: Aternative to MH Engineering?

Yeah he finished a while back now. I don't know of anyone else in the area that does Geo's or the powder coating,
but it would be interesting to find out...

Re: Coach House no more......................

I had the VX booked in for a service up at CoachHouse last week, shock horror cruised up and the place was silent. Good news Ricky is still doing his stuff, I'll have to give him a call and see if he can fit me in, I thought I'd finally found a decent garage in Aberdeen! Had discs, pads, brake hoses...

Re: Scottish Elise Rolling Road Day **Now with Pictures**

Mike, thanks for organising a great day out. Very interesting to see a RR in action, trouble is I found myself wondering if I could afford a Ricky ecu remapping. But I ought to be happy with a flat 200ft/lbs.

Re: Scottish Elise Rolling Road Day

I'd be interested in coming along. I popped into Coachhouse last week as I was recommended Ricky by a guy at work, they seemed like a good outfit. I've never been near a RR before but It would be interesting to see what power the VXT is getting, it hasn't been modded so I reckon it would be useful a...

Re: Alford Sat 19/Sun 20

Just got back from watching the practice runs today, good day out. Although the weather was bit changeable...still it made for some interesting greasy track moments I reckon. Think I got some decent photo's as well, loved the oversteery escort. The dark blue exige looked very fast, it'll be interest...

Its great to have someone with his skills in the aberdeen area.

I'm booked into one of these days on the 17th Sep. I have a sneaking suspicion I haven't been making full use of the car so far. It'll be great to gain some confidence and see if I have any skill at all, and hopefully it will spur me on to a track at some point. Not really looking forward to the 100...

Went to Riga ages ago so I can't recommend a particular hotel, however I would highly recommend this series of guide books called "In Your Pocket". I picked one up in Riga and it was invaluable, they are written by locals so are way better than the other guide books. There is a website http://www.in...

I take SIDC is the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club. How can I find out info on when they do knockhill days? Do you Lotus guys have any trackdays planned for 2007? I am getting the impression its probably best to do a trackday first before some driver training, its not that I have no track experience any...

Cheers for the info, so really its best to bite the bullet and drive down for a Walshy day.
At least then I'd be better prepared for KH, and esp as I am planning a nurburgring trip sometime in 2007.

OK, now that winter's coming to an end (optimism is needed) I am thinking of doing a trackday/driver training at Knockhill. I have had a look the novice days that dezzy has at the start of this thread. I need some tuition rather than just hurtling round the track not knowing what I'm doing, any othe...

If you can do the Cairn o' Mount road thats a great drive, take a right down drumtochty glen to the village of auchenblae then onto the A90 and up to Aberdeen. Or else just take the A92 coast road instaed of the boring old A90! Simpsons is OK, or you could try the Patio Hotel - I've heard its nice a...

Had a closer look yesterday in the sun!! Looks like I have a few mm of pad left so will get the new ones ordered up. Now all i have to do is get a VX brake recall done, and find out the why the ABS is so incredibly rubbish. Hopefully after the brakes are done I can contemplate heading off to Knockhi...

Are the pads sticking on when you're parked? 27k on one set of pads must be down to driving miss daisy though  In 22k I'm on my third set and I don't brake all that hard! Yep the pads stick after I leave the car standing for a couple of days, is this doing some damage? I bought the car 6 month...
