After 3 years of ownership it looks like my S1 Sport 135 will have to go. :( The Wife has been pestering me to get "another 4 seater" in case our main family car konks out. So with much regret, here is the advert. (I will also be posting on Pistonheads when I ge...

Re: Elise S1 Geo required in Aberdeenshire

Guys, Thanks for the leads on this. The two names you mention are known to me. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the Graeme Wight that owns or used to own the Ploughman Pub in Culter??? Used to drink there regularly a few years ago. His son was into racing (or rallying) bigtime a few years back...

Elise S1 Geo required in Aberdeenshire

Guys, Not posted on herein a while but recall a Mark from Banchory was the recommended person to go and see with your Elise if you wanted geometry work done. Well, doing a search on the forum I cannot find much info on him and his website does not appear to work anymore. What happened? Do any of you...

Insurance repairs question

Guys, This morning on the drive to work some guy in a Transit pickup truck pulled into the right-hand lane just as I was passing him ("didn't see you mate, sorry") and managed to catch the rear passenger side wheel and wheelarch with his front wheel resulting in a nice set of big gouges out of the w...

Thanks guys. Looks like Dan at JPS has a couple available at more reasonable prices than I have been quoted + he thinks he can drop the wheel off when he takes a customers car back to Inverurie (is that anybody on here???) saving on postage so a bit of a result all round. Craig - I've not posted on ...

Broke one of my wheels! Anybody got a spare rear S1 5 spoke?

Sorry to post this in the General Chat section. I guess it should be in the Classifieds but I need an answer on this pretty quick. Last Friday I managed to make a t*t of myself and spun my S1 Elise on some black ice coming into work. Low speed impact with the kerb but enough to knock a chunk of one ...

I owned a Talbot Matra Murena 1.6 for 9 years, the successor to the Bagheera. Great car but I drove it into the ground. When I sold it in 2001 it had about 120,000 miles on the clock and the engine had by then had a minor rebuild as it was drinking as much oil as petrol. A lot of fun and a lot less ...

BFG G-Force Profilers - pressures

Hi, just a quick question to any of the Scottish Elisers out there running their S1 cars on BFG G-Force profilers - what tyre pressures would you recommend front and rear? Anybody played around with the settings? From the info out on the web re the S1 the recommended settings appear to be 1.6 bar fr...
