Personally, i've not found hot marques nights to be bad at all - certainly a lot tamer / more civiclised than hot hatch Sundays thats for sure!!

Suppose it really depends just how much of a "beginner" and how cinfident you are though.

Personally, I'd just opt for a Hot Marques night and teach yourself. More track time, less cost. I'd considered the Beginners track nights when I had the Clio - but it was gonna work out at about twice the cost of a hot marques night.
