Jay of Pure Lotus is pretty well known to NYLOC (North Yorkshire Lotus Owners Club). Might be able to get one of our members to take a look at the car if you, there are one or two who live fairly close.

The hook on my car (MY2002) is plastic and moulded as part of the vent.

Could it be that a previous owner has broken the clip and devised a replacement?

Ah, that's what it was. I saw the car near Drumbeg in September. It was parked up hiding behind an Aston so I didn't see it until I was past.

It was last year, this year's budgie put it up to £140.

My last garage was a tiny bit narrower than that and I managed to renew all wishbone bushes. I did one side at a time with the car off centre in the garage. Loads of room.

Also plenty wide enough to do a full DIY geo afterwards.
