Re: NLC - Extension Planning

We had similar queries when we built our extension and we found that there were no real hard a fast rules when it came to the planning sides of things as part of the responsibility of the planning officer is to ensure that the building/extension is in keeping with the surrounding environement. So if...

Re: Tyre Dressing

Ok next up, is car shampoo any better or worse than washing up liquid, or is it marketing again? I think the theory is that it wont adversely affect the paintwork however, because washing up liquid is heavy on the degreasing sides of things any expensive waxes or coatings that you may have put on y...

Re: Tyre Dressing

I realise I'm late to this but I've ended up with liking "Armor All Extreme Tyre Shine Gel". It goes on well, looks good and lasts a decent time.

Re: Rusty Grills

The thing I found most lasting was PlastiDip. Just gave them a good clean and sprayed on. Plus you can play with it on other things like the diffuser and worse case scenario you just peel it off :)

Re: Battery isolation switches

As Ferg has indicated the battery isolating terminal is the easiest. I had the same part fitted to my Elise in the image Ferg has upload and it was totally fine.

Re: Battery light permanently on - S2 K-series

You should check part numbers and test the existing regulator but its this sort of thing you'd be after:

Re: Battery light permanently on - S2 K-series

It's quite often the voltage regulator (that failed twice while I had my car) if you are able to get a replacement regulator that may be cheaper. It's the plastic part that has the two pin plug that is screwed to the alternator.

Re: Question about five lever door lock on front door.

I would say that it could well have been tampered with as that is what happens when someone tries to "snap" the lock. Are there any signs of an attempt to remove the face plate of the handle/lock?

I would replace ASAP and buy an anti-snap anti-drill cylinder.

Two S1 Elises A92 Esk Bridge

Saw 2 S1 Elises on the single track bridge over the river Esk on the A92 Sunday afternoon at around 4:30/5pm. I think they were blue and yellow (but I'm colour blind so might be wrong :D ). I gave a flash and a wave!

Re: Servicing close to Dundee

Just a follow up... The service I received at Craig's was second to none, well worth travelling. He would now be my first recommendation to anyone. I had also been looking to sell my Lotus - two seater with two small kids meant it just wasnt getting the use it should. He put me in contact with a ver...

Servicing close to Dundee

Morning All,

Does anyone have any garage recommendations that will do a C-Service on my K-series S2? Ideally looking for something in or around Dundee - ideally closer than Murray's.

With the mix of plastics, fibreglass and rubber that are equally as close I'd have thought the vinyl would be ok, but thats furnace hot!!
