Re: Flakey Alarm.
I'll check what state the battery is in tonight. I actually have three that fit the car and swapped the original Bosch battery back in when I reconnected last night. The others are all high power calcium ones that get used occasionally generally after I've not driven it for too long.... My 16month o...

Re: Flakey Alarm.
Reconnected the battery last night and treated the neighbourhood to a repeat of the performance. Managed to reset the key fob and turn it off. The interior light might have been left on but a low battery wont trigger an alarm will it? All very strange, for now its just locked without the alarm prime...

Flakey Alarm.
Just what I needed at 4am and I'm sure my neighbours are also very impressed. Woke up to the sound of my '05 R111 joining in the dawn chorus. Looked out the window and nobody playing around with it so got my keys and went down. Alarm running for thirty seconds or so taking a couple of breaths and go...

Whilst I was up that end I thought I'd do a bit of shopping...... strangely the elise isn't the best car to take to either Costco or Ikea. you should have seen the trouble I had getting the wardrobe in.... The roo...

Flat Battery......
Well I've been a Lotus Elise owner for 62 days now and have just had my first flat battery. The car doesn't get as much use as it should and will sometimes be parked up for a couple of weeks at a time. I've done a bit of digging and found this is very common in Lotus's and it seems most people recom...

Re: A Couple of Newbie questions...
Well thats my first project completed.... The Blaupunkt to 3.5mm cable arrived from ebay today and rather than wait for a nice day I couldn't resist and have been lying in the rain with the wrong tools and a tourch. The up shot is I can now listen to my ipod in the car, I only misplaced one washer i...

Re: A Couple of Newbie questions...
. It has a Blaupunkt CD player, factory standard afaik, is there any easy way to add a line in from an iPod ? Or am Ibetter off just replacing it with a newer player? I have just got a lead which plugs into the back of the Blaupunkt unit. Was £14.99 delivered, easy to fit & it charges i-pod when co...

Re: A Couple of Newbie questions...
4. I don't know whether this is a problem or just my own inexperience with the car, but..... At speeds of 70~80mph the car starts to feel very skitish, with a lot of shake coming through the steering wheel, I would have expected the car to hunker down more and grip the road at higher speeds not to ...

A Couple of Newbie questions...

I'm very new to the Lotus scene, having bought my first Elise on Dec 29th. It's a Titanium Silver, 111S, S2 Elise with an '04 plate (Rover VVT) I've done a little diggin...

I've seen it about, it was coveting your car and a Blue S1 in the area which first made me look at a lotus.
