Re: LOT: Anglesey, Oulton Park, Donnington & Cadwell Quadruple Header |24th,26th 27th & 28th October 2021

Is there any way to press gang Paul @ LoT to get the Coastal Circuit at Anglesey instead of International? Corkscrew is a big miss [emoji27] It just doesn't work with more than a dozen cars. Faster cars forever waiting to pass, slow cars forever getting out of the way, no-one gets a clear lap in. S...

Re: S1 Gearbox backlash

Have you checked the tightness of the nut holding the Driveshaft in the upright? Had the same, nut had come slightly loose. IIRC the torque setting is quite high on them.

Re: Could caterham take over the Elise/Exige chassis

The only way I can see pure ev working long-term is if we can develop some sort of wireless charging on the main road network. Ie. You have a small battery onboard (less weight and rare earth materials required) that will do say 120 miles off grid. Soon as you drive on the grid you draw power from i...

Re: Could caterham take over the Elise/Exige chassis

I think it's pure speculation and a bit of good publicity for Lotus, but who in their right minds is going to take on a product which has less than 10 years to live in most countries? It can easily be converted to a EV platform. Already been done. Although it is best part 25yrs old it was so far ah...

As things stand, in just over 8.5 years all new cars must be electric, so this is hardly news? :scratch
In this country perhaps. What target has the rest of the world set to get rid of P+D off their roads? Man is supposed to be on Mars by 2030 too....

"The Red Shed 211...Scotty, Stu, Andy, Gav, now in Tasmania".

Now a gold shed.

Jon is loving it (so is the car for that matter)! Only road registered one in Oz apparently.

Looking for excavator/machine operators.

Couple of jobs come up in Aberdeen area for experienced machine/excavator operators. Pay rate well above average for type of work.

Contact me if of any interest.

Re: Jay Emm 211

Then again that road is not the best of surfaces, did it as part of our Scotland tour a couple of years ago in 211's and was the worst bit of the 1250 mile trip.... (Unless they have resurfaced it recently?)

Re: 2030 - No more new ICE

The ban is on the sale of P+D cars by 2030. Not P+D cars banned from the road in 2030.... They'll be on the road for another 15 years after that at least I would have thought!
