So... turns out if you clean your air filter, your carb, change your HT leads and ignition cables to Magnecor V85 Competition ones, clean your butterfly, open your throtle and generally speak nice to your car you dont have to worry too much about your ECU or indeed your cylandar head gaskit. hi guys. Have had a good root around today. Took the airfilter off and amazed at how dirty it was inside. (must clean filter). Had a look on Elise Parts and priced up new leads and coils. £189.00. Its a bit like Triggers broom this! It would be exciting if it wasnt so expensive. Nope no numbers readout. Even warm the engine has habit of stalling if this is another clue for you fellas. Definately got some leads to follow up this week.

Robin.. You may well be a Jedi Master as advertised. Collant level is down. No fault light currently and codes checked couple of days ago. Had code failure but this no longer showing.

Hi guys thanks for quick response. S2 Robin 51 plate. thought it could be a misfire but not exactly sure how to diagnose this (until now). MMC sounds like a good option.

Replaced the CAT which was seized to the exhaust so forced to buy a shiney new sports exhaust. retested.. still h...

Hi gang, Just in case...and I know this is a long shot..but has anyone got a sports exhaust or indeed a standard exhaust lying around without a home to go to. I have had some issues replacing the CAT on my 51 plate s2 due to some rusted (and I mean rusted beyond the heat treatment solutions) exhaust...

Hey Saj. I'm in roslin. Car is 10 years old and has some general battle scars leading me to feel that she will need the work sooner or later to bring her back to her best. Just trying to get a feel for how much I'm going to have to save. .gav.

to respray or not to respray, that is the question.

Just one two many paint blisters on my once blister free Lotus Elise's butt. Also some clam work required. Full respray or touch up. Any recommendations for the nest next step? How much would I be looking at for a full respray? .gav.
