Bricked NAS drive
Ive managed to brick by NAS drive at the weekend. The NAS drive came shipped as a raid 0. I only realised after i copied all my files on to it. Being lazy i then then just left it and it worked perfectly well for 4 years. At the weekend i decided to change it to raid 1, backed up all the data and to...

Re: Ride on Mower help - NLC
Gareth How old is the mower? Did you use a trickle charger over winter? The fact that it is turning over would suggest that all switches, solnoid etc is working. I would suggest that the battery hasn't enough charge to turn it over fast enough to start. If it has enough charge then it will probable ...

Sony Gigajuke vrs Sonos
For the techno's out there (mostly shug) I took a gamble on the sony gigajuke about 3 years ago as they had standalone speaker systems and i didn't want speakers everywhere, got the main unit and 4 satellite units. Since day 1 the user interface is clunky, keeps dropping out of the network etc. We a...

Re: Amazon kindle nlc
my wife bought me one about a month ago. great piece of kit. i've now read 2 books on it and it now feels like second nature. The battery life is amazing. with wifi turned off and reading about 1.5hrs per night i've still got a 1/3 of my charge left - only charged it once. The interface is to notch ...

Re: Tyre kicking - New car advice (NLC)
I had a rx8 for a year and never really noticed the oil thing, probably used maybe 10% more than any other car I've had. It was bought as a runabout but was probably the best pound for pound car I've owned mixing smiles with practicality. The only downside is the fuel consumption But that's a good t...

Re: snorkelling (NLC)
I wouldn't worry about getting them in the UK, you will be able to get decent stuff in egypt. make sure you buy silcone face mask, it make a big difference, they will probably try and charge you 250 EGP for it, don't pay more than 150 EGP. Good time to come over, it's the hottest summer since i star...

my milage yesterday was 9102, got into today and milage was 013108, thought, ah somehow it's been converted to KM, went into B&Q came out and the milage was 022103, apart from the obvious pixies having put 9000 miles on my car in the 15 minutes i was in B&Q, any answers? by the way i reset the stack...
