Re: Falkirk Car Carriers

I used these guys to transport my atom from Inverness to Somerset. 600+ miles for £450. They collected and delivered on time and as promised. Your car will sit on an uncovered trailer with several other cars and collection/delivery is a few days apart (Friday/Tuesday in my case) so if you can live w...

Re: Car Transport Needed

So, used them. No problems at all. Picked up on the day they said they would, with a call as promised an hour before they arrived. Nice guy from all accounts ( I wasn't there). Delivered on time and without any hassle. Would recommend. PT

Re: Who said Campervans were Boring ?

There was a camper van on a track day at Brands Hatch on Saturday. Unusual to say the least.

Re: Car Transport Needed

Thank you. They seem very reasonable - almost worryingly so in fact. Only £375 plus VAT.

Car Transport Needed

I need to get the atom from Inverness to Crewkerne next week. Normally I would drive myself but the weather is so unpredictable and I am kind of busy at work. Any recommendations for a car transport company and/or a rough price? It is nearly 600 miles (yikes!)

Re: Knockhill Track Events

The last Hot Marque event that I did was just a bit too full-on for me. See this thread for details:

Re: Knockhill Track Events

I'd steer clear of anything organised by Knockhill (not just the hot hatch days). Anything by a track day organiser or car club should be okay. Best, PT

Hang in there. Monsieur Frenchie might have problems registering a car with an engine conversion. Of course, it may be for track use only...

Re: SE book club

On a snow and ice theme, I have been reading a lot of David Howarth stuff recently. Thoroughly recommended historical non-fiction but as gripping as any novel. And boy did these guys have balls of steel. Suggest: We Die Alone Shetland Bus Sledge Patrol Blurb for We Die Aone In March 1943 a team of e...

Has anyone ever tried www.fantasygarage.co.uk? They are Edinburgh based and have a couple of convertibles.

Garage Doors

I am looking for some advice on garage doors, preferably metal rollers. I need to buy and install 6 in Inverness. Any recommendations for brands and/or installers.

Many thanks, PT
