Re: Hot Marques at Knockhill on Monday 29 August
Turned up late without booking and they let me on. It was a bit hairy to be honest. Too many cars on track ranging from Atoms, 911s and GTRs to ratboy astras and tatty scoobies. Some well driven. Some not so well. Generally poor track etiquette. Lots of oil being dropped. And worse, 4 or 5 red flags...

Hot Marques at Knockhill on Monday 29 August
CAR TRACK NIGHT (Hot Marques)
Mon 29th Aug 6pm - 8pm
Is this safe? I am a bit wary of Knockhill's own days. Thanks, PT

Re: ADAC - You get what you pay for!
:-) after 5 hours with nothing to read but a roadmap, I had a cunning plan. 6 miles to Dalwhinnie station, confirm train at 09:06 to Sneck, giving 2 hours to try to hitch to Aviemore for the earlier train. 2 miles back to A 9. Thumb out. Lift to Kincraig, walk a bit towards Aviemore, lift 2. Sorted....

Re: ADAC - You get what you pay for!
Exactly my point. I have the top level of cover. 200 euros won't even get a flat bed to you never mind get you on it. Not fit for purpose I'm afraid. I guess everyone has operational issues from time to time, but to build this into the product is just madness. And no, I was never going to walk to In...

ADAC - You get what you pay for!
Excuse the long post. I am too tired to make it a rant so will restrict myself to just one German sweary word. I have sung the praises of the ADAC for many years since living in Germany, and confess to having felt some degree of smugness about my fully comprehensive European breakdown that cost only...

The mugen is a special edition with a highly tuned n/a engine, trick suspension and a load of carbon bits.OlberJ wrote:I always thought that was a SC at that level?PartTimer wrote: The 275hp Honda n/a fitted to the ariel atom mugen is simply awesome. I'd love to fit that engine/map in an Elise.

Re: Engine Conversions.... Poll!
I am lucky enough to have access to 2 Elises that I track regularly. An n/a Honda and a 170 bhp K series (PTP head). I love the reviness of the Honda and the kick of the "vtec kicking in". The honda car is much quicker around any track. I also track a supercharged Honda, which is insane, but somehow...

Re: Renault Sport Trackday @ KH - 23rd May
You can spend hours in there. I do, but I still missed that 205. Very tempted. Sounds like there is a story to be told though.

Re: Renault Sport Trackday @ KH - 23rd May
Certainly an option. My first track car was a 1.9 309gti and I've tracked a couple of 205s. For some reason, I fancy a Renault. Am I mad? Or should I go further off piste and try this? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2827227.htm Basically I want something front wheel drive that I can let novice fri...

Re: Renault Sport Trackday @ KH - 23rd May
I really fancy a Renault track toy. Something cheap and track ready but road legal would be great. Any suggestions for forums I could look on? Or advice? Something like a 182 cup or even a normal 182 with uprated brakes, suspension and recaros.
