Blue S2 - Near Tyndrum on Mon

You were stopped at temporary roadworks travelling north on the A82. Ron and I were the guys waving at you from a silver Honda with two sea kayaks on the roof. :D

Re: The Skye Challenge and Help For Heroes (NLC)

Hi All :wave Much as we both feel like a pair of pikeys trying to get honest people to part with their cash, I think this is a genuinely important cause and any assistance is massively welcomed. This is a pic taken at the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge whilst training up in Lochaber last month. U...

Re: Larini Sports Exhaust S2 Elise ?

I'm with Ron on this one. I've got a Club Sport as well as a Hurricaine and the combination of the two really does rock. For the standard S2 you want the oval tips; 135R or 111S it's the round tips. If you want real rude boy offensiveness, then fit a sports cat too. Ron and I did a road trip in the ...

Re: NLC - small car purchasing advice

I had an L plate Mk3 Golf for a couple of years. It had done 150k when I sold it and was absolutely solid. You should be able to pick up something similar, with sub-100k mileage for less than a grand. If I was to get a cheap second car, that would be my first choice.

Re: New Zealand info

Andy, Just got back from a month in NZ yesterday. What a great place - you'll have a riot. If you're passing through Fox Glacier on the W coast, spend a night on Gillespie Beach which is about 15km due west. It's one of the most awesome places I've been. We camped on the beach which is covered in th...

I've had no trouble with mine. A bit of sensibleness is required - but not so much that enjoyment is removed.

Re: S2 vs S2 111s

Not sure - but Ron drove through the night with no traffic at a steady 65-70 mph. He was also wearing lycra and his mum's swimming cap for reduced drag.

Re: S2 vs S2 111s

From reading the reviews when new I sort of got the impression the 135R was a bit full on as an everyday driver? Also thought there was a lotus 135 engine upgrade for the standard S2? I use my 135R as a daily driver. As Shug say, driving any Lotus is a full-on experience and that's precicely why I ...

Re: Pheasant impact damage - advice please

I took on a sheep with my last Elise in the Brecon Beacons a while back. I was left with a series of hair-line fractures extending about 8" on both sides of the nose badge. It was a clam off job where the affected area had to be ground down, re-filled and re-sprayed. The bill came to around 500 quid...
