Re: Vettel

How did Vettel perform relative to others in the lower formulae ?. Don't know anyhting about him pre F1, would be interesting to see how he compared then on a more level playing field. Pretty impressive actually, plenty of wins, sure he beat his team mates most of the time even when featuring in le...

Re: Lotus F1 to sign Hulkenberg

I wonder if Maldonado has an "option" on Force India as I don't see why he would pick Sauber over Lotus? Not quite sure what he is waiting for, wonder if it's all down to the Lotus engine next season. Seeing so many people and rumours talking about Perez going to Force India, just don't see it happe...

Because he's a Scot? Pretty mediocre season this year and notball down to the car sadly :(
Better than Sutil, but he's apparently signed up to Force India already. Wonder if they'd have kept him, if it wasn't for his sponsorships.

True, this happened to me. Took a bit of risk a few years back and in the end all worked out very well! Many times i've heard people go onto better things after redundancy.

Re: House deposit or car?

Have the same thoughts going on in my head as you. But settled on being sensible and house deposit most likely coming first and the money left over will be for something beastly... It's not easy though. Visiting PH is dangerous if you see something fast and well priced!

Re: Scotland 1 - USA 5

Really terrible defending from Scotland, looked like wee boys playing football against a proper team. Lacking in marking and closing down players, doesn't help we have a better midfield than we've had in a few years but have little confidence or belief.

Re: Firewood\Logs - Aberdeenshire

See along the B979 towards Peterculter or Stonehaven if you're going the other direction there is a huge pile of wood. Driven past it a few times but didn't see much happening so could be up for grabs. Also plenty of fallen trees kicking around... Might be useful to have a chainsaw though.

Re: Legal knowledge (human resources)

Might decide to take you to a small claims court if they could prove they lost money from you not working the full notice. Although if you work in the financial services they might be keen just to let you go early rather than having the risk of an IT guy possibly with access to confidential data. Ho...

Re: Any planning experts? Specifically outbuildings.

Maybe you can encourage others that are less directly affected by saying that it might become a 'planning precedent' for both sides of the street, which would mean that they have less power to protest if someone decides to build something similar next door to them? Good point to get neighbours a bi...

Re: Malt Whisky thread

Good thread!

Fan of the Old Pulteney 21 yr old and Balvenie 21. But used to drink a lot of Laphroaig, cask strength and triple wood are great.

Been lucky enough to sample most Balvenies and Glenfiddich range, inluding the 50 yr old.

Re: Kimi's returning to F1

Great news, was hoping he'd return. As said already he's a good character to have in the sport and should make things more entertaining for next year.

Love the "I was having a sheet" clip. Just watched it a good few times there!
