Re: Alfa Tracknight - this Fri 17th
Sorry for eavesdropping, was having a gander for any pics or vids :) was impressed at how steady the pic was for a car with basically no suspension. It's basiaclly just one of these duct-taped ( ) to my roll bar http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/mini-dvr-1-digital-video-recorder.htm The recording u...

Std adjustable dampers on CS.
Are the std toe links prone to breaking/bending or flexing too much or something?
And croft sounds like it'd be cracking Mass

Re: Newbie from Fife - Dunc
Theres a very cheap S1 on Autotrader in Glasgow at the moment at £6.5k - assuming it is straight, that plus £4k of mods (brakes, suspension, headwork and tyres) would make a pretty nice track car. Saw that, won't be buying straight away though :( Realistically probs about a month or two down the li...

Re: Newbie from Fife - Dunc
Perhaps mate, I'm big on tyres, brakes and geometry. Noticed you can buy camber plates off the web to give you some extra -ve camber at the front I assume? It's all adjustable on the elise to a certain degree isn't it (excuse the pun) - does this include castor angle?

Re: Newbie from Fife - Dunc
im sure that even after the mods, it will be cheaper to run than the radical. :?: :?: does/ did the radical not break down alot? With the exception of a wiring issue with the dash when I first got it (bad contact) it's not skipped a beat and is extremely cost effective on track as it so capable - d...

Re: Newbie from Fife - Dunc
Shooomer, looks like I've come to the right place then - how will I get on after the radical?
Silly questions for now are as above really, is an s1 suitable to go straight onto track, assuming good mechanical condition of course (and popping some decent brake fluid in).

Newbie from Fife - Dunc
Hi folks, I'm looking at picking up an s1 as a more sensible track toy (currently use a radical) and reasonably cheap runabout when needed too. I'm attracted to the s1 as I'm not too bothered about straight line punch more a car that is enjoyable on track with sensible running costs, it'd be an earl...
