Re: Independence

Surely Cameron/Clegg can look at any referendum as win win. If the SNP lose then they've kept the Union together and if Scotland gets independence then a huge number of labour voters will no longer be their problem. Could labour even mount a serious challenge without the Scottish vote, if not then E...

lotus Elise 135R - Price Drop

Due to my work changing offices I now have to commute into town, and as the wife says no to a second car the 135r has to go for something a bit more sensible. Most of you will know how good these cars are, this one is Mica Blue (No. 039), has less than 23,000 miles and I'm the 3rd owner. It has full...

Re: Poll: K Series

No problems with the 135R yet, apart from my company moving office and it not being great for commuting  I think I need to either get it on track to remember why I bought it or change it for a newer one that's better suited to every day use. As others have said, if you're worried about HGF the...

Re: Evora Ride & Drives

I'm booked in for 1.00pm on Monday so I'll hopefully get to finally meet some SE'ers. I'll hopefully have the Elise with me so I'll look out for any others. :thumbsup. The Evora looked stunning in the flesh at MMC so I'm looking forward to seeing how it drives. In response to the discussion above, t...

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

Can't believe how lucky I got with the weather on Friday, glorious sunshine and the roof off all the way up the coast road from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. The car is totally different from my previous 111R but I'm absolutely loving it so far, even the A048's in the rain aren't too bad. Definately glad t...

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

Yeah, it's the blue one and it's in really good nick. I knew it was exactly what I was after asn soon as I drove it and it should be perfect for getting some track experience next year. :thumbsup

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

Unfortunately the car in Buckie was sold before I could look at it. :( On the bright side, I was down in Edinburgh at the weekend and made the fatal mistake of popping in to see Graeme at Murray Motors so I should now be picking up a 135R at the weekend. 8)

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

I figured that there was probably a bit of exaggeration about the S1 roofs, but it's always better to hear from those that know. Just have to wait and see if the one up in Buckie is a good one.

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

Thanks for the warm welcome. I stay in Grandholm, so nice and easy for the city centre or the suburbs. I'm hopefully going to have alook at the Green Elise tomorrow, I've been in a couple but the one thing I'm not sure of is how awkward the roof actually is to get on and off? How do those with S1's ...

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

I don't suppose anyone knows anything about this car do they.

Thought it might be worth having a look at as not many seem to come up for sale locally.

Re: Yet another Aberdeen Newbie

My theory is that, since I've not done any track driving before, something with less power than I've been used to will make me improve my technique. That and thew fact that I have a really short commute now so don't need as many creature comforts.
