Hammerite works Ok but if there's enough room round the bolt to fit a cover then that might be a way to go as shown in the following pics it's my young lads BMW but you get the idea.........and BMW don't supply them they come either from Vauxhall or Volkswagon :roll: .......the bolts shpwn just get ...

You would be advised to apply a protectant after cleaning this will guard against grime, dirt, milldew etc and water will bead like crazy and run straight off the roof, the white "specs" in the after picture is the protectant that had just been applied when dry it is invisable........303 aerospace i...

Hi Davie, It's been said you should bin the wonder wheels..........correct...........best get the wheels off and give them a good going over by washing and claying then apply a few coats of wheel wax/sealant. Also, it's been mentioned you should get a wash mitt, well I'd say get 3 one for the upper ...

Yeah the colour is an acquired taste....not mine either and it's an original BMW limited edition colour and not a respray too.......in the log book it is described as BLUE :lol: I think Stevie Wonder must have had a hand in naming the colour eh LOL!!

Well Ali we'll be at the unit over the weekend, not sure which day though at the mo but we'll definately be there next weekend both Saturday and Sunday (25th & 26th) all day cause we're detailing a black BMW.......Ang might be there next weekend but not sure yet LOL!!

Thanks for the replies guys :wink: Ken it was just over 2days, on the morning of the third day was just to apply a second coat of a new wax which I'm very impressed with although I can't give you any info on it at the mo cause it was sent to me to put on test....and as such I don't know who makes it...

Just a note about applying Rain X..........apply then allow to dry, apply a second coat and allow that to dry then lightly spray on some water and buff up till dry it'll be perfect, it can be temperamental in application but when you get the hang of it it's OK.

I'll take your word for it r055 so I have my finger ready to point fairly and squarely at yuooooo :D This was a full interior and exterior detail but it's the exterior that was immediately noticable as you will see!!
