Code reader favour + dark coolant

Hi all I'm after a wee favour if at all possible - the abs light has turned itself on so I was hoping to get a code reader to see what the problem is. Anyone around the Leith area have one that I could borrow? There's also been a change in the coolant colour - used to be a vibrant pink and today it'...

Re: More battery issues

Stored outisde - the only reason it's been idle this year tho was because I've been waiting for a part to get it to pass the MOT since mid november!

Re: More battery issues

Thanks for the replies guys.
j2 lot/Scottish scrutineer - it seems to coast quite freely albeit with a dragging noise. So far driving up and down the road with some enthusiastic braking isn't freeing up much!

It's due a visit to the garage anyway so I might just hobble along carefully.
Thanks again!

Re: More battery issues

The wheel seems to spin fine it's just dragging on the brakes. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not the brakes but it doesnt really sound too healthy. Brakes were the easiest suggestion given that it's been stationary for 4 months. Don't have access to a jack so if anyone knows a garage in the leith area I ...

Re: More battery issues

That's the battery swapped over and it's running. Now I just need to figure out why the engine light is on and how to un-seize the brakes!

Thanks for the info robin

More battery issues

Hi all So after having the car parked up for winter and discovering the battery had died (can still use the key fob to open the doors but it won't disarm the immobiliser) I bought a new battery and just tried to change it over. Now it seems that the key fob won't even open the doors and switch off t...

Re: Immobiliser Issues

I've got the manual - it's just that it gives the same instructions as everywhere else online and the keys just aren't the same. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a charger in the next couple of days and if needs be I can call on mmc!

Cheers for your help

Re: Immobiliser Issues

Hi Robin

Thanks for the quick reply. I've had a look at a couple of threads about resetting the immobiliser but they all seem to describe the procedure with different keys to mine. I've a 57 plate elise s2 and the keys don't have the led that all the procedures seem to mention.

Immobiliser Issues

Hi all I've had the car off the road since last November (waiting for a part post MOT fail) and just went to start the engine to try and keep things ticking over ok. Unfortunately it seems like the immobiliser won't disengage. The key fob works to open the doors but the red ring is permanently lit o...

Fixing a wing mirror

Hi all Anyone got some advice for fixing a wing mirror? Some wee ned decided to rip mine off leaving the assembly in two parts on the floor and one of the black plastic prongs still stuck in the door. Do you guy reckon a couple of dabs of epoxy will hold it fast enough or am I looking at a new wing ...
