I'd echo the suggestion to have your input switching at the av unit/receiver end and run a single HDMI to the TV. Leave some string in there so you can pull a thunderbolt or whatever cable in a few years and you should be fine :) You might want to include a speaker cable in the run to the TV in case...

Amps with HDMI support have a few inputs and only one output, does this work by putting the signal from say the blu-ray through the amp where it picks up the sound data and the image data passes through to the TV?
