Re: Another, Another new car thread..

I looked at the BMW Z4, also the 350Z... To be honest if the 370Z was in my price range then that would be a tough one up against the cayman...

BMW = Big Money Worries (I was once told)...

Re: Another, Another new car thread..

From what I have seen there is little difference in what you get for my money between a Boxster and a Cayman. From my limited knowledge it seems the boxster is cheaper to buy new but holds its money better.

Re: Another, Another new car thread..

Dan, Running costs are certainly something I guess I will have to live with. The Elise when all said and done costs almost nothing to run. Thoughts on the below. 996 Carrera? - I did give this a lot of thought... but looking at 2002 for my money and I am worried of something going badly wrong.. Euro...

Another, Another new car thread..

I am counting down the days until my car is picked up by its new owner and taken from me forever :( however, this has obviously meant that I have been out window shopping for something new. Obviously I enjoyed the Elise and will be sad to see it go but I dont think I will be replacing it with anothe...

Re: P0135 - O2 sensor MIL

Robin, as ever great help... Basically the cables look good, connector looks clean (no corrosion).. My head says its the sensor but the way this car has been recently I am sure it is something totally different... :-) Trying to find out if AA parts and labour will cover this as I need it fixed asap....

Re: P0135 - O2 sensor MIL

I had a quick go and seemed to hit about 9.8 ohm? Is this close enough to the 6 ohms you were referring to? or should it be spot on 6 ohms?

P0135 - O2 sensor MIL

The car has obviously got wind that it is being sold and threw up a P0135 MIL.... This seems to point to the Pre cat O2 sensor which I guess will have to be replaced... Is there any way of testing this to make sure it is defective? In case there is a short somewhere etc? I cleared it but it came bac...

Re: Car buyer from Belgium

You don't care at all so long as the deal happens. Hence you need to make sure that you have all the paperwork he expects. Otherwise he'll show up with cash and then start arguing the toss over missing paperwork and your sale may fall through. Cheers, Robin Took your advice Robin and emailled him e...

Re: Car buyer from Belgium

The deal is once the cash is taken by the bank and the balance shows it. Until that time its mine... Now getting interest from Germany also... If it all goes well then I will be starting another new car thread soon. PS: Am I surely not the only person who misses their first Elise. Its not even sold ...

Re: Car buyer from Belgium

Not sure I follow. If he turns up with a bag of cash and I tell the DVLA that the car has been sold and exported is it not his problem to get the CoC if he needs this for import purposes?

Cheers. David.
