VentureShield thumbs up!

I had the sills resprayed by Goudies the other week - cracking job plus they sorted out the passenger door and a bit of other grp damage. The car looks great now, however they couldn't get in touch with the guy they use who does the paint protection film. Well, after a lot of searching and mucking a...

Re: Stripes?

Each to their own I suppose. Knowing where to get them done doesnt necessarily mean I have to get them done, it just gives me some options. Anyway, life would be a bit crap if everyone had the same tastes.

Stripes?

Anyone know somewhere decent to get stripes done in the Kilmarnock/Glasgow area? Everyone in the South constantly bangs on about what a good job Back On Track seem to do so I wondered who in the North would do a job to a similarly high standard without raping my wallet too much.

Re: Public Weighbridge near Troon?

MY04 Elise S, but with a k series engine. It's got carpets and leccy windows. Soft top. Standard 6 spoke rimstocks, Larini Clubsport, Nitrons, splitter, ebc turbogroove discs plus a few other bits and bobs. With the additions that are lighter than oem parts I reckon it'll be a fair bit lower than an...

Public Weighbridge near Troon?

Hi,

Anyone know if there's a public weighbridge in the Troon/Prestwick area? Had a look online but nothing's coming up. The relevant council page appears to be borked too. I fancy seeing just how lardy my s2 actually is! I'll be pleased if it's in or around the 800kg mark.

ta,

Andy

Re: Sorry, another tyre thread.......

Posted this on seloc a while back: I have a set on my S2 and here's a summary of my experience with them so far: 1) They were absolutely appalling for at least the first 500 miles, to the point where they felt dangerous. 2) The amount of 'squirm' you got during this 500 miles through the corners was...

Re: Servicing in Ayrshire?

Sounds like Goudies is an option then.

Anyone know of a place that'll fit Armourfend/VentureShield or the like? I want to get the sills covered when I get around to having them resprayed.

Re: Servicing in Ayrshire?

Thanks for the replies. I'd rather not use a main stealer as I want some value for my money! Interested to hear that Dan's set himself up again - I used to use JPS when I was stationed at Leeming so Ill try and find out his details. Any one have a contact? Scottish Lotus Specialists look a good bet ...

Servicing in Ayrshire?

Hi all, The Elise's service isn't due until the end of the year but can anyone recommend a decent Lotus Specialist in Ayrshire, preferably near to Troon/Prestwick/Kilmarnock? Also, which bodyshops/sprayers can people recommend? I'd like to get the sills resprayed and ideally I'd take the car down to...

Re: Shocking news - Scotland has lots of potholes

Too bloody right Scotland's got a load of potholes! I think I must have hit everyone in Ayrshire this morning! Maybe the council will pay for my next geo and for a replacement set of Nitrons? :|
