Re: Yokohama AD08R discontinued

So what alternatives are there? I used Toyo 888's before, no doubt the European regs will have ruined those as well.

Spotted you John driving from Aberdeen Airport towards the A96 this afternoon. Did you get wet or did you avoid the short shower of rain?

Steve.
You don't get wet if you stay above 50... Glenshee was dry.

Stayed dry until I reached Dundee and hit the 30 zone then the heavens opened again.

S1 sticky windows. Old car troubles.

With the warm temperatures I was starting to see a return of the sticking window issues that my car has had for years. Last year the car got so hot the bonding melted on the drivers side and the window came out of the frame. This was resolved with new carrier blocks bonded in by Craigs team. The win...

Avoid the K series engine like the plague. Just asking for trouble.

I am just counting the days till mine goes bang again. And it will. They all do.

Re: S1 Ownership

When my Elise was about 10 years old then yes I think you could easily run the car as an almost daily. Most of the S1’s are getting close to 20 years old now. Totally different proposition. Go for the newest car you can afford. Valid comment about the 1.6 being gutless I guess. It we have had a few ...
