Gear linkage
Hi all, I'm having a few problems with my CUP's gearchange and was wondering if any of you knowledgeable chaps/chapesses might have any experience in the subject: The gear lever is really loose around neutral and when in gear. It feels really imprecise changing gear and wobbles a lot. Sometimes reve...

Re: CUP 260 Electrical Cut-Out
Funny you should mention that Robin, the car does conk-out a lot more than is used to. Normally as you coast to a stop and dip the clutch.
I bought one of those OBDII readers off £bay a while back but haven't tried it out yet, may give me a clue and may be able to reset a couple of lights.

Re: CUP 260 Electrical Cut-Out
Thanks guys... I feared this was the case! The first time it died and had to be jump started, the dash showed the Engine Check light and the airbag light (still on 9000km later)... the car is not fitted with airbags which made me think the ECU had lost something... is it possible that the ECU can lo...

CUP 260 Electrical Cut-Out
Hey all, Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to whether or not using this cut-out after every trip will cause the ECU to 'unlearn' any settings. I have to use it as I've been caught out more than once with a dead battery after only a couple of days. Trickle charger not an option unfortunate...
Re: OBD's
Think I'll just get one and give it a go... would be interesting to see what faults are there! I do use the battery cut off all the time as I had to jump start the car after 1 1/2 days without using it... it happened a couple of days after I received the car and hadn't had a good run so I suspect th...
Re: OBD's
Hi Ali, Yeah, these are the ones I've been looking at but there's one at 30 quid and one at 10 quid, look the same thing. Is there any reason to pay more? Maybe they come with different software? Oh, and, do they work straight out of the box or do you have to mess around a bit finding settings off t...
OBD's
Hi guys, Could anyone recommend an appropriate OBD reader for a 2010 Exige? My engine check light came on at 1500km along with the airbag light (it's a CUP car so has no airbags!) and I'd like to read the ECU to see whats going on. There are no dealers here in Dubai although there is a fairly substa...

Hey all, I need to stock up on some hard to source stuff in the UAE and was wondering where the best place to get that stuff (in the UK) is. I'll hopefully be back in Glasgow in the next month or two so can order everything and pick it when I do get back. Shopping list: Exhaust (thats a no brainer.....

Re: Paint Protection Film
Right... taken the plunge and got the car booked in tomorrow morning for a bit of cling-wrap application! Was turning out to be too much hassle trying to get a kit then finding someone to fit it here so just went for Llumar in the end, they're doing the whole front clam/lights/splitter, side sills, ...
Ohlins...
Hey. Anyone have the recommended bump/rebound and ride height settings (road/track) for the CUP260 2010MY? I've searched everywhere and only found a Lotus document for the Ohlins aftermarket fitting/setup but thats not specific to the factory fitted CUP260's...

Re: Paint Protection Film
Well, I've been doing a bit of recon over here and there are quite a few 'filming' places around... it's quite big over here actually as people like to customise their cars big time! Most of the companies can do any car in any colour/finish you want... matt black anyone?! Got some quotes for just th...

I remember Russell from RPM well, just emailed him so waiting on a price.
Not much talk on the forum about this kind of stuff anymore, I'd still like to get it done as a respray job over here is not quite the same thing as back home.
