Had all week to correct the paint and layer up 3 coats of Zaino Z2, 2 spritz of Dodo Red mist and got the wheels back.......drum role ( dont get too excited ) got the wheels back from JRM in edinburgh today and on the car..........paint is from the Fiat Abrath, gloss black is SO last year :roll: htt...

had a nice wee drive today, not too much gas and made 22 mpg too!

CAn i just add that i took the car to see Ali today to have the 111R serviced and although the slight off-road track to the workshop I could't fault ALi for his chat, friendly & helpful lad and keen pricing too.

just for info, my 2005 S2 has had the thumbs up for some warrnety work rgds this problem. my heater would not blow on settign two, but was okay on one and three. anyway is covered under warrnety and that was lucky as the bill was +£500 !! are Lotus mad?

better off not washing your car than washing it badly :( speak to Ally or myself . HAve you even seen what these guys do with their brushes/equip. The chemicals are normally of such a concentration that it will strip off drirt n grime off alright along with any wax etc you have. you have been warned...

as for car covers, i have seen a few poor fitting covers rub back n forth across tight corners i high wind on the paint and cause some damage so just be aware of that. like the others have said, a good premium wax/sealent should help keep the worst of the elements at bay.
