Re: Looking for an ECU

Robin That could be a good alternative, Ricky Gauld had a similar idea, in upgrading to an emerald ECU and at least getting some more peformance out of the car, basically making the best out of a bit of bad luck. I'm just about to go offshore at the moment so will get back to you in a day or so, if ...

Re: Looking for an ECU

Shug Thanks for the reply, my story is almost identical to Stewarts, as in, I too reversed the polarity while changing the battery for a split second. Difference was that the car would hardly run at all. After a lot of diagnostics with a friend, came to the conclusion that it was the ECU. Sent the u...

Looking for an ECU

I seem to have an unrepairable problem with my engine ECU. (despite sending it to the ECU Doctor to be told it was fine) Been doing a bit of internet searching and phoning around this morning without much luck, does anyone know where I might find a used ECU for an S2 Elise 111s (2003), it's the Lotu...

Re: Help Required

Stephen Thanks for the info, up until last year I had AA membership along with Parts and garage service cover too, so certainly wouldn't rule them out. Strangely enough after leaving the battery off overnight and trying again today the problem seems to be sorting itself out. Still getting some fault...

Re: Help Required

Unfortunately don't have AA cover, and it's an S2. I agree with the thoughts on the ECU although why was it running perfectly when I got it back and up to the point where my local garage plugged his diagnostics into it. Extra bit of info was after having a look again last night noticed the immobilis...

Great to catch up with old friends and nice to make some new ones. Great job to all the organisers and hope you managed a hefty donation to a ...

Re: AMP3 Charity Trackday 2010 - Aug 6th!

Hi All Donated for this trackday some time ago and looks now as though I should be able to make it, which is good as it'll be the first trackday in the new car and the first time I will have been on track for quite a few years so really looking forward to it. Do I need to do do anything else other t...

Hurricane Induction Kit now fitted

Thanks Mark and Doc for your replies, got back to Yvo this afternoon and sorted out my problem. Just in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation here's what I found out, hope it might help. The reason the adaptor didn't fit was due to a resonator box under the wing, apparently not al...
