Re: Go Karting Near Inverness NLC

I'm working with a friend who is planning to open a go-kart track in Inverness in the near future. If anyone has any experience in running or designing a kart track, I'd appreciate a personal message. If you like karting, what would you advise for a new kart track? What makes for a good day out? Wh...

Re: S2 Exige S vs 996 C4S

rs4 similar costs, brakes are expensive to replace as are 19" tyres. Was getting low 20's normal running but worth looking into DRC problems (fancy shocks) as i don't know if they've fixed that problem yet. Certainly used to be very hard to sell if spec was wrong, eg if you have a multi function whe...

Re: Stopping Pad Chatter

heres exactly the same stuff as EP supply but you can cut it to any size you want and there's loads more than needed to do top and bottom of caliper, as i needed to stop rc5+ rattling :thumbsup http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Universal-Self-Adhesive-Anti-squeal-Brake-Shims-/250640873148?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Car...

Re: S2 Exige S vs 996 C4S

all great advice, just a wee proviso that just because the cars coming from an OPC don't assume it will be great, I looked at 13 turbos before buying mine, from opc's, indies and private and there was no set reason to what was good and what wasn't and eventually bought one from Leeds OPC. I also bou...

Re: S2 Exige S vs 996 C4S

I do see what your saying but don't agree! The big service quoted is only once every 4 years or 40k, if i remember right, and is normally only £500ish, same as the C4S. Both turbo and C4S are group 20 and my turbo was cheaper to insure than my carrera 2, no idea why, there is next to no difference i...

Re: S2 Exige S vs 996 C4S

mikie - i had in my mind that there wasn't that big a difference between the servicing cost on my carrera 2 and my turbo? Had a quick look at the service menu and theres only £40 difference between each for a minor service and the £500 difference in a major service is the plug change which only need...

Re: S2 Exige S vs 996 C4S

i think i would go for a 996 turbo again if i was going to have that choice. The c4s has the same suspension, brakes, tyres as the turbo so similar running costs but doesn't have the tremendous shove of the turbo hence when i had the choice i bought a turbo. Turbo has a GT1 based engine which doesn'...

Re: Mobile Phone time

i've been with vodafone for a while and as per usual they couldn't match other deals so i asked for my PAC code to transfer my number, 4 days later i got a call from cancelations and got an HTC Desire free, 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet (but actually 500mb fair usage) for £20 per month on a...

Re: A member of the team at last

flip, well done on finding a car but would have been a nice touch to let some people know via the pm's you'd been sending that you were no longer looking instead of saying you were possibly going to organise an inspection and would let them know  All the best and enjoy it, sc :thumbsup
