Looks like the cables slipped out of the retaining bracket shown in your 4th photo, should be a quick fix to shove it back into the slot on the bracket between the two nuts on the threaded part of the cable then tighten up the lock nut [left hand nut] to secure it onto the bracket. Had another look ...

Insurance renewal [NLC]
Got the renewal through for the M3 today from Privilege, up £40 from last year to £486 which seemed OK. Decided to check on-line as usual to see how it compared and got quote with Privilege for £308 from Moneysupermarket site. Gave them a phone and they have matched the online quote, not bad for a p...

Re: CCI renewal
Got my renewal through today from CCI, nice suprise its down from £455 to £251 [3yrs NCD, 6000mls, only driver].
Did a quick search online to see if anyone could get close - no-one anywhere near.
Never had my insurance renewal drop by that much before without phoning around

Re: Fitting S2 cam cover to S1
Hi, I've not fitted mine yet but have cut out a small section from the side of the plastic cover to allow the plug leads to exit without rubbing against it.
I managed to get the aluminium cam cover with a plastic blanking plate fitted instead of the cam sensor so they must be available.

Re: NLC Gas Boiler service provider
I switched from British Gas to Scottish Hydro 3 years ago, Shield central heating cover.
Boiler seems to me to get a better service, not had any complaints so far.
