Re: N3 TUT rebuild.
Congratulation on your new car Tut, it's a nice one.
Just noticed your post on seloc re clams, I have front & rear clams , original Lotus 111s with matching boot & bonnet, never been repaired, if you are in need just message me on seloc.

Re: My 1 week Elise
Just a quick update here for those that might not have made the connection on Seloc , after a great year & our first year in Sprinting (Nitron Seloc Sprint Championship) Jason , who double drives the car with me, finished first in Class and I managed to take the overall win. The best possible result...

Re: My 1 week Elise
Next round is at Snetterton , but we have to change the clutch. We stuck an old worn one in when building it as we just ran out of funds , but we are double driving it at most events so taking a lot of hammer. Best change it before it gives us any trouble . Front clam is still in its white gel coat ...

You may be pleased to know this car has now won 3 of the 5 Seloc speed championship rounds (we have only entered 3 though so far) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/brooke111s/null-19.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/brooke111s/null-28.png http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k561/b...

Re: My 1 week Elise
Thanks Ross, useful post as it showed me that Rich, who converted N1 and N3 is still in business, as I was told that he had packed the garage in, but looks as if he moved from Middlewich to Winsford and is now concentrating on the MX5, though he still services Elises. tut Tut , I had heard the same...

Re: My 1 week Elise
Sorry, a quick re-cap. I ended up buying a slightly damaged car which was previously owned by a couple of Scottish Elises members, so some may recognise it . Anyways, we (me and a pal) subjected it to a very comprehensive rebuild, with no screw left untouched. Saturday just gone was the first time t...

Re: My 1 week Elise
Peter I'm not sure now re the clam. The problem with the original one is that the salvage guys just cut around all the mounting points, hence they are missing. The new (cough) blue clam was complete but not in as good order . Now that we have something to use as a template , we can probably get this...

Re: My 1 week Elise
Found the sticking throttle issue- it was a frayed throttle cable , new one ordered.
This adds to the national debt which is now huge & well over budget.
Nearly ready to start re assembly
