No worries.
I see there's a Bav 31 there he can look over, maybe on the tight side though

Re: Battery charger bargain
Thanks for this
I bought one yesterday. I have an Optimate but the Reynard- Lotus runs on a "total loss" system so I often need to charge the onboard battery and the slave at the same time.
Now if only they sold driving lessons..............

Re: Referendum
It saddens me that the entire debate appears to revolve purely around finances. What should it be about? Chris If I recall my O-grade history correctly, "finanace" was , to a large degree, why we united in the first place, having sunk over half the country's entire capital in a swamp in Central Ame...

Re: Unusual Car Desires
.....and I had the more humble Avenger (1.5GLS). It suffered various mishaps including the time I put it into a field on the Northern Lights Road Rally back in the mid 70s. My navigator was a nice chap, but sometimes forgot which way we were going relative to the map - calling out the road to me:- "...

Re: Watch lovers?
Fair to say you've got the bug Martin? I am hankering after a PloProf .. Badly! Need to find a decent pre loved one as cost new is just silly! Baby or full sized? If the latter, I might be able to assist. A collector chum has an original vintage one (70s?) on mesh that he offered to me a while back.

Your second timed run ( which had the car pointing every which way but straight) raised a round of applause from the crowd
Good car control and highly entertaining.
Don't do it at Knockers this w/e , though!

Re: What Porsche for sub 30k?
The M5 was a v10. Nothing went seriously wrong with it ( though I had my doubts about the clutch and rear diff) but that may be because only kept it for about 3 months. I just didn't like it. I have to agree with J Clarkson's summary below (in 2 parts). In town the gearbox is jerky no matter which o...

Re: What Porsche for sub 30k?
I think that the 996 Turbo is good value just now. The X50 has all the real world road performance needed for 99% of the time and the engine does not have many of the problems inherent in the wet (ish) sump normally aspirated models. I had the 996TT v 997s debate with myself .......and then bought a...

Re: sprint and hillclimb wannabe!
I'll be out too.
"Pipe and slippers" class (A7) in the old mean green money-munching machine(911)
As the engine transplant is still work in progress , it's likely Fintray will be first event.
Good luck to those at Doune
Cheers -JP
