Re: Craig Moncrieff thank you.

CMC are not just a one trick pony, it doesn't matter what car you have, chuck it at them and they will find the problem! My passat had been through a few hands with no resolution in sight until Craig took it in and now we know what the issues are... unfortunately a dealer only fix but everyone else...

Rolex Submariner 16610 with Box, Papers and receipt

I am selling my genuine Rolex Sub. It is the 16610 date model, X serial. It is stainless steel, with black dial and bezel insert. It comes with the original inner and outer boxes, papers with correct serial number etc and the original sales receipt. I also have extra links for the bracelet. It was o...

Re: bye bye N3.

Sorry to crash this thread, but I see this was 2007(?). I once owned an Elise S2 reg no SK02 KCO in gunmetal grey with a red roof. When I bought it, it had a sticker on it which read TT2007. Having seen Tut Towers mentioned on here, I was wondering if they were one and the same? If so, it was proba...

Re: Favourite Top Gear Episode ...... Ever!

Is it folklore, or is there an episode where the drove a lotus around the track, and lotus weren't happy about the time and sent one of their own drivers to do it quicker (sideways) ? yeah this did happen. [as I recall] Clarkson drove the S2 and was moaning that it understeered. It was then pointed...

Re: A nice S1 for someone

Yeah I think so. Most of the issues could be sorted in half a day by someone with a basic tool kit. A proper respray later and you would have a very nice little elise.

Re: A nice S1 for someone

Interesting to hear the detailed appraisal by the gentleman who has "never been in a S1 before".

Very cheap Elise, having sold for £6.1k. Decent paint and some minor fettling should yield a pretty decent wee car.

Nice dark green S1 Elise driving with some classics (MGs maybe). Prestonpans Sunday afternoon. I really like that colour for an S1 - looked good!

Re: E46 M3 buying advice.

I'm also a fan of the E46 M3 and have had a manual and a SMG. I personally prefer the SMG. Anyway, coincidentally: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=26780

There is a buying guide link at the bottom of the article.

Re: BMW Main Dealer Service - Is it worth it ?(FALC)

I would agree with others; keep it Full BMW Service History. I doubt there is much actual benefit to the car in doing so, but makes the service book look a lot more attractive when you are selling. I recently got a routine service carried out by Eastern BMW in Newbridge Edinburgh for £177. Granted i...

Re: New Esprit

I really hope they can and will build it. I think it would re-establish Lotus as a credible outfit and be cement them as a world class engineering authority. I'm not sure confidence in the company's stablity would feature too highly in the buying decision, whcih would go something like: Looks cool, ...
