Re: Hotel Suggestion for this weekend
Hollytree was fantastic. We had a large room with a Loch room and the view when I opened the curtain in the morning was amazing. Im pretty sure the couple walking back along the pier towards the hotel didnt think that when they suddenly saw a curtain drawn back and a naked man stood at the window. :...

Re: Anyone been to newcastle?

They wanted to keep it more dark and dirty and new venue is certainly that. Its on at WHQ in Newcastle on random nights so yo...

Isles of Glencoe hotel near Ballachulish is nice. Should be good value this time of year, has pool, jacuzzi and sauna, really nice restaurant at sensible prices, log-burner in the middle of the lounge, and friendly staff. Really miss it actually - haven't been for about 3 years now, used to be a re...

Re: Hotel Suggestion for this weekend
mhor.net - fantastic food / rooms, about 5 miles off the callander / crianlarich road Not cheap tho! Might get a discount if they have a room / late booking? That looks really nice. Costs more for one night than Im paying for the week on Skye though Although, the Holly tree is £190 for bed breakfas...

Hotel Suggestion for this weekend
Im getting married on Friday and were off to Skye for our Honeymoon on Saturday. The owner of the cottage were going to told me its not a good idea to arrive in the dark as the track is pretty rough to the cottage (only just found out). Therefore, were looking to stop somewhere on the way up from Du...

Re: Highland Holiday Cottage Recommendations
Only one distillery on Skye, Talisker, down the south west of the island, and there's not any others nearby. Glendale is a lovely spot, plenty of walking to do around the area, and the Three Chimneys restaurant is just down the road. planning on a couple of visits there. It's expensive but it is th...

Re: Highland Holiday Cottage Recommendations
We need to be back in Newcastle for Saturday night which means we will need to leave fairly early Saturday morning. We want to do some driving while were up there. Probably not the ideal base as its right over on the West coast of Skye but we want to visit some distilleries and take in as much of th...

Re: Highland Holiday Cottage Recommendations
Yeah, I was thinking somewhere just North of Glasgow. I work over at Bishopton quite a lot and it normally takes me about 3 hours to get up there so would be a decent place to stop. Then set off first thing sunday morning for Skye
Yep, too late
. Booked the cottage above last weekend!
