Fab Car Must echo Rory's comments, my experience of an earlier K series Atom suggests you need the side panels for added comfort. Blackbird Jim used to wear a North Sea Survival Suit to drive his in the winter months. Knockhill sell the suits for about £30 as they stock them for foul weather karting!!

Actually according to a well known emergency service call centre manager, cell phones can be triangulatetd in rural areas to less than a mile.
Unlikely most rural areas have a less masts and higher radiated power giving coverage of up 22 miles radius depending on topography
