Re: Monday Poll: Do you use your car over winter?
Not used it at at all this winter....then again I've hardly used it with the engine problems I've had this year. Engine has now been fully refreshed so roll on the start of the new track day season.

Re: S1 Elise Motorsport replica project
Dear god I do like these kind of build thread....I thought I'd spent a small fortune on my S2 this year but it seems to be dwarfed by this.
How does the VAG lump compare in weigh to the original engine?

I had the same problem turned out to be a blown fuse inside the engine bay..... it was the fuse panel which is bolted onto the boot side inside the engine bay. Might not be the same thing but probably worth checking.

When is you last have the tank emptied? Sounds like you've over filled it to the point it's over flowing out the over flow pipe....pumping raw sewage out.
But I might be wrong.

S2 wanted
A friend of mine has asked me if anyone is thinking of selling up a s2... preferably a 135R,111s or 111r. He has a budget of 17k but might push a bit more for the right car.
He isn't a member on here and has asked me to ask on behalf of him
Aberdeenshire area would be a plus.

I'd certainly be curious about the zzs as my tyres will need changing at some point this year.

Re: Seeking suspension
The rover ones are in reasonable nick and the bad rear spring is broken right under the top collar. I'm not 100% if the Toyota ones are comparable but I'm sure someone will come along with some info.

Welcome back Mainsy! Avoid the Konis. Try to find some used Bilsteins at least? I had a couple but sent them north to help out a fellow member, don't think he used them in the end so we may be able to track them down. LotusLee...I think! Campbell (S1 with Bilsteins faction) Nope it was me but close...

Re: SIDC 25th March Knockhill
Enjoyed the day as a whole, even without the car. Weather was as good as I could of hoped and cheers to who I got a passenger lap from and the icing on the cake was a hurl in mike skib's car which left me with white knuckles. The atmosphere was great and good to meet in with some friendly face...
