Re: Solar panels
We have had panels since 2012 and in FIT tariff terms still not recovered the purchase cost and we are on the highest FIT rate. We got some compensation for miss selling and If you factor in the reduction in our bills we are up on the deal bur that’s after 10 years. I have thought about battery inst...

Re: Please please don't stay silent
I don’t know how families and friends come back from such a tragic incident. Heartbreaking. Well done for speaking out and reaching out Martin.

Re: Leccy cars
I drove my brothers I-Pace from Durham to Goodwood and back and it tainted my thinking on EV purchase. Don’t get me wrong the car was amazing - really fast, quiet and comfortable and I also loved the Polestar I drove at Goodwood. The issue was charging - chargers on the motorway network were busy or...

Re: Dealers
I have posted this on here before, but last year we had a 48 hour test drive in a new car from Vauxhall main dealers, after 2 days took the car back and left, no attempt to sell the car to us and no follow up since. Can’t be a sustainable business model?

I agree Campbell. I enjoyed it, even more so given that my brother and my good mate both out down deposits after we saw it at Goodwood.

Re: Lotus Emira launch
Lotus staff at the FOS said £70-75k for the launch edition 4pot and £75-80k for the V6. Current colour selection is for launch edition, more choice will follow. The waiting list is into 2023 already.

Re: It’s time...
Man the Emira has really thrown a spanner in the works. I didn’t have much in the way of expectations for it. Wasn’t expecting it to look so good and with such close links to the Evora chances are it’s gonna drive well. I’m 50/50 on an Emira or an Exige now. So M4 is going and I think I’ll put a sl...

Re: Lotus teaser/launch update link
Very much an evolution of the Evora and looks fantastic, it has a lot of work to do to replace 3 outgoing models so let’s hope it’s well built and drives and performs as good as it looks. Good engine options too

Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?
Is it me or have dealers now all dropped to the car supermarket level of service with many buyers not aware they are being fleeced or not caring enough to avoid buying from them. I recently responded to a Vauxhall 48 hour test drive offer of a Mokka EV ( no laughing at the back). Arnold Shark and Pe...

Re: Leccy cars
Had a Polestar test drive yesterday. Really impressive for a family barge both in fit and finish and driving. They set them for 1 pedal driving which takes a while to calibrate too. Really quick on the back roads around Livingstone but you can feel it’s a weighty car. At around £50k for a reasonable...

Re: Leccy cars
It's the future! Polestar just announced dates at end June for test drives in Livingston & Glasgow. fellow SE'r gets his next week, very jealous I’ve just signed up for Livi test drive. Been trying to get a shot for ages so quite excited. Had a 48hour test drive of the Mokka EV and was really impre...
