I'm sure there's a bedding in guide supplied with Pagid pads in the packaging, resembles the procedure quoted but I have never done the "hold for 2 mins" thing. The various sets and combos I've put together over the years have always worked well as a result. Or perhaps not, who knows ;-) Best advice...

Oops. Welcome to the land of window maintenance! There is an official 2-part glue type that is used to rebond the windows to the mounts, although I cheated and used sikaflex and I think it's working ok at present. However there is a first class discussion of this in the Elise FAQ . Just surf to the ...

To be fair to it, the workshop manual is fairly prescriptive and accurate in this area. I don't have mine to hand, and am dashing out, but others may be able to locate the relevant couple of pages and email them to you. They basically explain how to unhook the latch control arm from the interior han...

Don't know if you've tried this, but a tiny wee socket handle is what's needed for the frontmost bolt of the three. Or maybe a ratchet spanner. Access via the interior door handle surround (which you pull out etc first obviously). Agree it's fiddly. Try wearing some latex gloves to reduce the chafin...

Paul N2 TUT came up a few years ago and I thought about buying it then, but it has now gone. However N3 TUT is there for £245 which would keep it in the family. tut Aw, I was sure you'd bought N2 TUT as well, that's a pity. The vision of N1 and N2 side by side in your driveway just about makes my e...

Why, was your boss in the Focus?! TBH, don't know what was holding us up, was kinda cruising as we had Eilidh on board and were just trying to decide where to stop for a wee seaside walk. She had her doll's pram raring to go for first outdoor unleashing...ended up at South Queensferry, v pleasant. I...

You were just approaching Newton village westbound in a very dirty yellow S1...guess it HAD to be you! We were, coversely, just leaving Newton village eastbound in a very shiny just washed black Golf Gti Mk4. But I know which of my cars I'd rather have been driving today ;-) 'Cept the flippin batter...

I thought it was a Top Gear classic tonight, plenty action, not afraid to make fools of themselves, and Hamster being very brave etc. Natch the crash could so easily have gone the other way but surely good for the ratings and a show which is maybe a bit Evo-esque (ie, featuring machinery few of us c...

A great day out. Good drive up with the lorries on the A9 tipping vast quantities of snow into our open topped Elises as they passed snow drifts 8) Was one of the most mental, cold, yet enjoyable drives I think I have ever had in my Elise. It's right up there with driving through freezing fog on th...
