Re: French Frolic April Fool?

What I can't work out if is if you need one if you aren't planning on driving in the middle of these towns. And does the motorway through lyon count, as that would be an easy target for fines. Utter madness, as we visited Lyon a couple of years ago in the 80s 420SL and it now looks like that car wou...

Re: Roof boxes

Thanks for the advice Ferg. It is for a Merc CLS Shooting Brake, it was very full last year with one baby, so this year is going to mean roofbox-gate is inevitable.

I know they are the normally reserve of the sandal and sock, bumbag wearing Belgians at the autoroute petrol stations but we will need the extra space. Has anyone got any tips/ words of ...

Re: Paris - Areas to Stay for a Long Weekend

My other half took me to the St James for my 30th, which was very nice - excellent rooms / bar / dinner. 40th birthday worthy for sure.

Re: Cycling - NLC

They really are great fun - I would be amazed if you didnt love it. Its best described as all the good bits of MTBing with a bit of motorcross feel thrown in. We ride a mix of stuff from red downhills to forest paths and there are constant laughs, they are so quick and once you get used to it you ca...

Re: Cycling - NLC

Anyone else riding an Ebike? I bought a full sus cube with the boschCX motor and its probably the most fun I have ever had on a bike. It is also great for splitting opinions between those who have never tried one and think its cheating to those that have and see how much fun it is. Ive been riding t...

Unfortunately I know exactly how you feel; my first son Rafferty passed away when he was just over two months old...

Re: Help me find a low cost street bicycle...

I've got one of these that I keep chained up in London and use when I am down every couple of weeks - been a great steed and its fast, and ideal for city centre riding. I am sure I only paid £250ish for mine from Chain Reaction but it was a couple of years ago. http://vitusbikes.com/products/dee-29...

I've got an old SL merc and the only time I've seen it in the last 6 months is when I'm in and out the garage getting my mtb out.

[quote="StiflerMR2" Steinhart seem to get a good write up but look a little to much in the rolex homage vein. Anything else worth looking at for around £350? Cheers.[/quote] I really like the look of these - been following their story and they get excellent reviews. The current limited edition one i...

Re: In Need Of A Garage Door

I used Daly garage doors - http://www.dalygaragedoors.co.uk I needed a funny size (2.8m wide x 2.2m high) roller in a specific RAL colour and they supplied and fitted an electric Novoferm which looks good and seems excellent quality. The price was within a couple of hundred of the cheapest I could f...
