Re: Holiday reads
Blade Artist - New Irvine Welsh book focusing on Francis Begbie - not his best work, but mildly entertaining nonetheless. Brookmyre's crime series worth a look too ("Chris" as opposed to "Christopher" denote these books) - While the Parlabane novels are good, it's nice to see some new characters bei...

Re: Attempted Break In Edinburgh
Scumbags  While there's no fool-proof solution, I think a couple of big feck-off powerful LED lights with PIR's helps in conjunction with the alarm (which should preferably be monitored). I installed a 2 camera Arlo system at the weekend - A doddle to do, and perhaps also worth thinking about?...

Released on Wednesday - Preliminary analysis from the Accident Investigation Board Norway now suggesting: "Recent metallurgical findings have revealed features strongly consistent with fatigue in the outer race of a second stage planet gear in the epicyclic module of the MGB. It cannot be ruled out ...

Daniel Ricciardo was 'on it' during P2 yesterday - A second ahead of the Mercs at one point (and LH only managed to narrow that deficit to 0.6 by the end). Of course, the Mercs were probably sand-bagging, and normality will likely resume as soon as they switch to their 'special qualifying map' setti...

Am I the only one who doesn't particularly like it. Like the idea and the mechanical execution looks good - But the bodywork - m'eh :? I know what you mean, but I'd see it as a blank canvas - I'd imagine you could adapt S1 / S2 Elise or Exige bodywork to fit - Maybe even 2-Eleven panels, à la Frank...

Spotted a few interesting things recently: Alfa Romeo 8C spider on the back of a transporter heading up the A90 towards Aberdoom (What oil slump?! :P ) Bright yellow 458 Spider parked in a layby just outside Dundee on the A90 southbound Bright orange Lambo Huracan heading west on the M9 (Think it wa...

Re: Gumtree - a waste of space ?
I've found cars and car related stuff a nightmare but been successful with other things when clearing out the garage, loft etc. Best ever reply was when I put my Boxster S on there, with little hope, but it was another avenue for sale. Got a text asking if I would take a 10 yr old Audi A4 with 186k...

Re: What we all knew.
If it's Cat b then the body shell should be crushed and only spares sold from the car. Shame there are no numbers with the car else it would be worth it. It's not clear in the pictures, but if I recall correctly, the OSF chassis wishbone mount was torn - Add in a smashed crash box / bullseyed winds...
